The Baltic Soundprints are a collection of binaural field recordings Zach Poff and I made during a trip to Estonia in 2004 as members of MAP Intermedia Performance Collaboration. The recordings were made as part of the collection process for material to be used in constructing a new performance piece (which ultimately became Variatsioonid) during a residency at the Polli Talu Arts Center. Though these recordings didn't make their way into the finished piece, we found them too pleasing to be relegated to the oblivion of the archived.
